Breakfast was a lovely start to the day, and Joann handled the routine with such warmth and efficiency. The spread was delicious and well organized, and her attention to detail made the mornings feel especially welcoming. The whole staff made a great impression, from the front desk to the cleaning crew. Everyone was friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to help. My room was spotless and tastefully decorated, with a cozy feel that made me comfortable right away. The hotel had a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment I arrived. THANK YOU~

We left after about an hour because I just couldn’t stay in that room. The sheets looked dirty and smelled of smoke, and the carpet felt so grimy I didn’t want to walk on it barefoot. The room itself smelled like cigarette smoke, and the entrance and lobby were visibly dirty too. It didn’t look like they swept or vacuumed often. The employees were extremely rude when we arrived. I later read that the hotel has a reputation for letting people involved in drug activity stay for long periods, with police there frequently. I can’t speak to that firsthand. For the money, I’d expect this place to cost $50 a night. If you do stay, watch your kids and yourself. I’d tell anyone looking for a hotel to stay somewhere else. The staff were super rude and the rooms were dirty.

The hotel was filthy everywhere, from the entrance and elevators to the hallways and door handles. The key reader had gunk on it, the carpets were so dirty I couldn’t take my shoes off, and the room furniture was stained. The bed was comfortable, but the coffee maker had white dust from the water elements inside it. The elevator doors and walls were so dirty that using them made me feel gross. The staff were very nice, but they looked dirty too. The casino next door was dirty as well, and we’ve been many times without seeing it this bad. They seem short staffed, and the people working either can’t keep up or don’t care, I’m not sure which. It felt like high traffic areas barely get cleaned, and they haven’t kept up with any covid regulations. The place has gone downhill so much that I can’t believe we paid to stay. It wasn’t worth a penny.

The front desk area looked clean and modern when we arrived, but little else about the hotel did. We ended up changing rooms three times with our toddler. In the first king suite, there were at least 30 dead flies on the windowsill, five or six flying around, and some kind of insect nest in the heater vent. The second room had no hot water at all, not even tepid, and barely any water pressure. I was glad I needed to bathe my little one, because otherwise we’d have discovered the problem at 6 am when I got up to shower before our family event at noon. Guest services said they’d call the on-call maintenance person, thinking it might be a breaker issue. It was 10:15 at night and we just wanted to sleep. Then the pullout sofa mattress looked like someone had urinated on it for days. They expected my 3 y/o to sleep there? No amount of sheets would have helped. After going back to the desk a second time, I was almost in tears. I don’t usually complain and don’t expect five-star white glove service, but for $200 a night, a reasonably clean room and working hot water shouldn’t be too much to ask. We had to pack up and move again around 10:30 at night, this time to a two-bed queen suite. It was large and spacious, but the carpet was stained and coming up in places, and all the furniture had some kind of stain. The front desk staff were wonderful, the only good part of the stay. I wouldn’t come back even for a free night.

We slept well in a clean, great room, and the hotel was quiet. We’d booked a room with a hot tub, so at least we could enjoy that in the evening when the casino got really packed. But no one told us the pool and hot tub were closed. If we’d known, we honestly would have stayed at the casino’s hotel since its pool was open. Breakfast was very limited, just microwave breakfast sandwiches and danishes, with no fruit or other options. There were too many people at the casino and no vaccine requirement 🤦🏻♀️, but that’s a whole other review.
