Rodeway Inn Holdrege

On my eighth bicycle tour across America, I stayed here with my cat. Real nice place, and great job, y'all. At breakfast, it'd be nice to have a dedicated cook to keep the gravy warm and maybe put out some fresh vegetables. Try to beat my high score on Donkey Kong.

I'd pass on this place if you want a restful night's sleep. The rooms were old and outdated, and the A/C made a loud screeching or alarm noise that stopped only when I kicked it. The grates looked like they'd never been cleaned. Breakfast was advertised, but mostly meant food that needed microwaving, eggs included. There's no elevator, and they placed a guest with a disability on the second floor. Horrible place.

The beds were okay, but a loud whine from the A/C made it impossible to sleep. Breakfast was pretty poor, unless waffles, toast, or microwave eggs in a bag are your thing. There's no elevator, and they couldn't accommodate a guest with a disability on the second floor. I had to climb stairs that were difficult and dangerous, with loose, squeaking railings. Overall, pretty poor accommodation.

The staff were mostly great and always went above and beyond. My biggest issue was the entrance: there's no automatic door or handicap button to open it. I spent almost a week there, and getting a wheelchair in and out multiple times a day without one was not fun.
