We ate at JJ Winn's inside this beautiful property, and Troy took great care of us. He knew the menu and had good recommendations. The food and cocktails were great, and save room for dessert, it was scrumptious. Heather was an excellent bartender, too.

We rang the Quality Inn at 10 p.m. looking for a room that night, and Elizabeth was cheerful and helpful. She found us a first-floor room near the front door and mentioned the AAA and AARP discounts. It was spotless, quiet, odor-free, and just the right temperature. The bathroom looked newly renovated and was beautiful. We slept well, then had a good hot breakfast with real scrambled eggs. I’ve been here on business for two and a half weeks. The restaurant is great, and about half the staff are very friendly, though the others can be a bit grumpy. The weekends are rough if you’re not there for a wedding reception or another event. You may have to listen to the reception music, and the breakfast area gets so crowded it’s hard to get near. Internet cuts out constantly and is awful. Housekeeping only comes two days out of seven, and they don’t sweep the floors.

After a long drive, this was a great place to stop. Staff were friendly, and our room was very clean. We booked online and got the available king room, which was the accessible version. That meant lots of space and a huge bathroom.

The beds were hard as rocks, and the TV didn’t even have a power cord. I couldn’t find a remote either, and only realized it was missing the cord when I looked for a power button. What’s the point of having a TV that doesn’t work? The hot tub and pool weren’t much to look at, but they were relaxing.
