Applebutter Inn

We love the area and have been back to Applebutter Inn after more than 20 years. It’s so close to Slippery Rock, and since my husband is a Rock alumnus, we’re already planning another visit and a stay in “the Rock” room. Julie and Eric were wonderful, accommodating hosts, and breakfast was yummy. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, with a lot of care taken to keep them authentic. Great place!

We found the apple butter inn while visiting friends and Pittsburgh for a concert, and ended up having a stay that went well beyond what we expected. Communication was responsive, and the place was beautiful and clean. The new mattresses were more comfortable than any we’ve had at a hotel or air bnb. In a time when good hospitality seems harder to find, 5 stars doesn’t feel like enough. We’ll be back!

We’re planning to make this our regular place when we visit our daughter. It’s in a quiet spot that’s still convenient, and the property worked perfectly for our dogs. The owners and staff are friendly to talk with while also giving guests plenty of privacy. Breakfast came right on time, and the portions were small but just right for us. If you prefer a bigger plate, it may not be enough. We absolutely loved staying here and have no complaints.

We were here for two nights for a track meet, and the room gave my wife, daughter, and me plenty of space, including sitting areas. It’s hard to find two larger beds in a B&B, so we appreciated that. Check-in was easy, reservation communication was great, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. There was plenty of hot water and no noise from neighbors. Friendly place, nice patio for breakfast, and convenient to town. We’d stay again if we return to Slippery Rock.
