Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hollister by IHG

The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of options to pick from. I've stayed at plenty of Holiday Inns, and this one is easily my favorite. The woman who helped my family and me was so lovely and kind. I'm pretty sure her name was Rose.

We had a good meal at LA Catrina's downtown, about eight minutes away. For quick food, there's a McDonald's right across the street, and Lucky's store, KFC, pizza, and more are about five minutes away by car. The Post Office is behind McDonald's if you need to mail something. Breakfast was great, with fresh coffee available all day, plus hot tea and hot chocolate in the evenings. The kids liked the pool too.

My mom slipped getting into the shower and fractured her shoulder, so paramedics had to take her to the ER. The tubs had no nonslip surface or mat, and the curtain didn't keep the water in properly. The room itself was good, but the response afterward was appalling. No one asked how she was doing. They only said we'd be charged for another night if we needed a later checkout. We had stayed just one night.

Really disappointing. I called several times asking for an early check-in, but both the hotel staff and customer service kept being unresponsive and unprofessional. That kind of service is completely unacceptable.
