Beach and Town Motel

The night staff were nice, but the hotel itself was nasty and low budget. They charged me $120 for a room with a mini kitchen and no kitchen equipment. There were roaches too, and my family and I were sadly disappointed. Don't rent here.

The location felt pretty dicey, and we didn't stay. I'm still disputing the charges with Booking.com. The pictures were misleading: our first room had no electricity, blankets, or towels, and the lamp was just a bare bulb. The second room was the same, except it had electricity, which somehow made it even scarier. The front desk clerk only spoke Spanish but was trying to help, so that's why I gave the service three stars. There was no handicap access for my husband's wheelchair, and the rooms were four inches above the walkway.

We've stayed here before, and it was a little better then. For the money, the place is usually decent, but this time there were only two towels and we had to keep asking for toilet paper. There was no soap in the bathroom either. You get a lot of unemployed locals trying to scrounge off you. One group yelled all night, and in the morning there was broken glass and trash on the ground. It feels like the owners don't care. There's also a U-Haul truck in the parking lot that looks like someone is living in it. You get what you pay for.

You can tell when you drive by that shady things are going on. I don't know how the town lets this place stay in business.
