The person who really made our family’s stay special was Diana. She seemed to be there for movie nights and the cotton candy and popcorn, always smiling and cheerfully cleaning up after everyone. She’s exactly the kind of person you hope to meet somewhere family friendly, and I can’t say enough good things about her. If they could clone her, family vacation places would have a hard time competing. The rooftop pool gets a nice breeze, and the bar staff were helpful and kind too.
The room was clean and spacious, and the woman who checked us in was very nice. Our balcony looked over an alley facing the building next door, so the view wasn’t great. We were there for my husband’s 50th birthday getaway. Parking is run by a private company and costs a lot, though having a covered garage was nice.
We were both worn out after work when we arrived for the weekend, but Miguel Angel made check-in simple and answered all our questions attentively. The room looked gorgeous, and the hotel seems very well cared for. There’s a fantastic view and plenty of good places to eat nearby. We’ll be back.
The rooftop bar was pleasant, but drinks aren’t allowed near the rooftop pool, and the pool shuts at 8:00PM. The location is okay, a short walk from the beach, and the rooms are marginal at best. The vinyl furniture was peeling, and the beds were basically thin mattresses on a platform. Housekeeping was nonexistent: we had to take out our own trash and make our own beds. For a longer stay, sheets and towels only get dropped off after day five. There’s also a $40 nightly fee even when the room is already paid for, plus $43 a night for parking in a lot shared with beach visitors, so finding a spot is a gamble. I won’t spend my money here again.
This was our second visit, and we’ve had a great stay both times. The hotel and rooms are clean, the staff are all very friendly, and the beach is close by. My daughter especially enjoyed the daily kids’ activities in the courtyard, including cotton candy, coloring, and face painting. Diana helps with those, and the front desk and towel attendant were lovely too.
