The St Maurice Beach Inn

The beach is only steps away, and I could walk to restaurants, shops, and other things I needed. St. Maurice Beach Inn was clean and well kept, and the staff were always welcoming and ready to help. The amenities made the stay easy and comfortable. I had a wonderful time and would happily come back.

This is my go-to when I'm in town. I've stayed here more than a dozen times, and it's still my favorite place on Hollywood Beach. The staff are kind, the rates are good, and you're just steps from the sand with everything nearby. They lend out beach towels and lounge chairs at no extra cost, plus you can borrow a bicycle for the day.

My daughter and I stayed for the weekend, and it felt worth the money. There are plenty of places to eat and drink right along the boardwalk, and the hotel's in a great spot for getting around. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely recommend it.

We were there for four days over the 2026 New Year's weekend, an elderly married couple in an efficiency unit. The beach and all the Broadwalk activity were close by, and borrowing bikes, beach chairs, and umbrellas worked out really well. There was also a courtyard, though we couldn't enjoy it because someone was always smoking, which we can't stand. Parking wasn't an issue since we had no car. The rest was adequate for this price range, but the downsides mean we didn't feel we got what we paid for, and we wouldn't recommend staying here. The worst problem was the lack of anyone staffing the office around the clock. One night, a rowdy group partied in the courtyard, drunk, loud, and inconsiderate, disturbing everyone nearby. They used F-bombs constantly and bragged about how much time they'd spent in jail. We were older guests, and there were families with young kids at the motel too. Be aware of the clientele this place attracts. The internet was practically unusable. We could connect to the motel's WiFi, but most of the time there was no internet, and when it worked it was painfully slow. T-Mobile cellular data was fine, so don't count on working unless you have mobile data. The bed felt like a pile of old rags. The bathroom was so cramped you had to sit sideways on the toilet, and without a dresser we kept lifting our suitcase onto the bed to get clothes out.
