The Surf Hollywood Beach

Unit 5 on the top floor had the best beach view. The Surf is well maintained and just steps from the beach, with easy parking out back. Across the street, there’s a tiki bar with live music every day, but it wasn’t loud. I’d stay here again, especially since the staff responded quickly to my requests. The bed and sofa bed were clean and very comfortable. There were plenty of towels, and the bathroom was spotless, with a tall showerhead, a handheld wand, and great water pressure. The shower door leaks, though, so roll a towel along the inside to keep water off the floor. The big fridge and coffee maker were new, and there were plenty of utensils. The water filter wasn’t plugged in or working, and the pans could use an upgrade to nonstick. AC and ceiling fans were great. The closet had loads of hangers, but only one beach chair and some sunscreen. The pictures of celebrities made the place fun. Read the front-door lock instructions: you have to push the door in while entering the code. I’d pick this over staying right on the boardwalk, unless you want nonstop party noise.

We had a double queen room with a dinette, full kitchen, and private bathroom, and it was just right. There was plenty of space, and everything was spotless. The beach and boardwalk are literally steps away, but our room was away from the crowds and noise. I was very pleased, and we’ll definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

The beach is right there, and the room was clean and really nice. The pillows were soft and firm, so there was a choice. I’d stay again and again.
