We had such a fun time celebrating our friend’s 50th birthday here. The house was beautiful and had a nostalgic feel. I loved the creaky upstairs floors, and the kids kept talking about ghosts. I figured they were friendly ones. The pool was fine, and there were bathrooms everywhere, which was great.

There are lots of lovely spots for photos, and the spaces are clearly laid out, with a bar, formal living room, dining room, pool table, and roomy bedrooms. The master bathroom is amazing. If you want a really picturesque venue, this enchanting place is worth a look.

You can walk to the beach, but the grounds make it hard to want to leave. There’s a huge pool, sculpture gardens, and abundant greenery outside. Inside, this 100-year-old mansion inspired by Southern Spain is impressive, with rich, authentic furnishings and fireplaces in almost every room. The billiards room was my favorite.

I live next to 1055 Hollywood Blvd. On Friday, Oct 3, a large event was held at the property, with about 100 people in the backyard and music blaring at an unreasonable volume until 1:30 AM. Several neighbors asked for it to stop, and we called the police, but the disturbance continued. The same thing happened again the next night. This is a serious safety and welfare concern, with noise, overcrowding, and possible parking and fire hazards. It’s also an ongoing nuisance for nearby families and neighbors. We’ve documented the events with dates and times, photos and video, and witness statements. We’ll send that material to local code enforcement, the county permitting and licensing office, and the police department. Neighbors will also consult about civil remedies for the ongoing nuisance and any property or safety damage. Owner or manager, if you want to keep permission to rent this property, stop large unsupervised party rentals immediately or put strict controls in place and verify they’re followed. That means occupancy limits, event permits, security, noise mitigation, and at least an 11 PM quiet-hours policy. Otherwise, we’ll file formal complaints and ask for any event permits or rental listings to be revoked. This isn’t acceptable in a residential neighborhood.
