We’d enjoyed staying here before, so we came back hoping for another soak in the whirlpool tub. The room was spacious and the tub was great, but the heaters were a problem. One blew only cold air whatever setting I tried. The bedroom unit seemed to have a bad thermostat: set it to 64 and it heated to 70, but set it to 70 and it never got past 64, so the room turned cold. On our second night, the man in the adjoining room was smoking. Smoke filled my room and triggered a serious, dangerous reaction, so I had to leave. My partner tried to check us out around 10 p.m., but the front desk person argued that we should come back after my emergency was handled so they could move us to another room. I wasn’t going to risk further harm. The man next door received only a warning. I know the hotel can’t fully control selfish people, but perhaps stronger policies could help prevent this. I’ve since heard from Ken. He was kind and apologetic, and is taking steps to improve things and make this right, which I appreciate.

For $70, this was a very good room. I was here with a friend in February while we were in the area to ice fish, and the hotel was conveniently just 1.3 miles from Mosey Landing on Lake Onalaska. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, with Wi-Fi and a TV. The continental breakfast was okay, though the coffee wasn’t good. We had trouble getting the key card to unlock the door. Ken at the front desk came over right away and helped us. A great stay for the price.

The staff were friendly and professional, and you can tell they take pride in their work and the hotel. It’s in a quiet, safe area, and there’s a light breakfast. The rooms are large, with new carpeting, a fridge, and a microwave. Everything was exceptionally clean. I’ll definitely come back. Impressive and affordable.

Prairie Inn and Suites was clean and quiet, just what I needed for a night. The staff were really friendly and great to deal with. It doesn’t have exciting amenities that’ll blow you away, but I like being able to support local businesses instead of huge chain hotels. I’d definitely recommend it to more people.

Nothing fancy, but really nice for the price. The rooms are large, comfortable, neat, and clean. Check-in was easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.
