The unit was clean and nicely landscaped, and the heated pool was a plus. But there was no ocean view, and the Gulf was two blocks away. Unit 2 is called “the shrimp” for a reason: it’s very small, with a bizarre bathroom where the sink is actually in the shower. TV options were limited or nonexistent, and the bed was uncomfortable. The pool sits so close to the other units that I felt I was intruding on their privacy. For nearly $600 a night, you could find a more spacious, comfortable rental.
