Americas Best Value Inn Holyoke Springfield

The AC worked well, but it was so dirty that the filter looked like it had a hairball growing on it. With my dust allergy, I couldn’t breathe. There were huge stains on the ceiling that looked like mold, and the place smelled like a wet, abandoned basement, with mildew and mold plus a bit of cigarette smell. The mattress was stained yellowish brown from dirt and age, with what might have been a bullet hole and blood stains. The floor and walls were stained too, and wallpaper was peeling in places. Maybe it’s a roof for someone who’s homeless or a last resort, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have another option. Even Motel 6 isn’t this dirty or creepy.

The smell was unbearable, so I walked out after about 30 seconds. There were stains all over and wallpaper coming off, and the place was most likely full of mold. An absolute dump.

The management made me feel like family, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The view as you drive up is like a postcard. I had a great time in many ways. There’s so much good I could say about this place. 10/10.

The family running the hotel were friendly and considerate, and the room was clean with no odor. All the appliances worked well. The only sign of neglect was a little peeling paint in the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised, had a great stay, and would happily come back.
