The hosts were so friendly, responsive, and accommodating. They even let us check out late, which we really appreciated since it made departure much less rushed. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to relax. It’s a peaceful, beautiful setting for taking in Homer’s scenery. The hot tub was a real highlight, clean and well cared for, and soaking under the Alaska sky after exploring felt special. Such a cozy getaway. I’d gladly stay here again and highly recommend it!

The owner was kind and accommodating when we had questions and when we asked to add a night to our stay. We spent four nights in the Spruce cabin as our base for fishing with O'fish'ial Charters and a few other Homer activities. The drive to the Spit takes about 15 minutes, and it’s short and scenic, with Safeway nearby. We had lots of room for ourselves and our luggage, a comfortable bed, and a full-size fridge. The kitchen came with the basics, including dishes, cutting boards, pots and pans, dishwashing supplies, plenty of towels, and a nice coffee maker. I wish I’d used it to make coffee for our fishing trips. We also enjoyed the private Jacuzzi and the view from the deck. They have bigger cabins too that looked suitable for families or groups. I’d recommend Baycrest Lodge and would stay again. My photos were taken as we were checking out at the end of the trip.

The home was peaceful inside, even though it sits just off the highway, and those big windows at the back opened onto a majestic mountain view. We stayed in Birch, and it made a wonderful first impression. The kitchen had everything we needed, and having a washer and dryer was handy. After a day out, we liked warming the room with the electric fireplace and relaxing together on the comfy couches. The beds were comfortable too. The angled toilet in one bedroom gave us a laugh, a cute detail we remembered. We enjoyed unwinding in the hot tub one evening, though we wished the clouds had cleared so we could see the stars. We didn’t get to use the fire pit, but it looked like a nice way to spend an evening. Communication was quick and easy, and check-in and checkout were simple. We highly recommend the property and already have!

I come to Homer for work now and then, and the summer rates can be high because demand for quality places is high. I’ve stayed here several times in winter when it’s more affordable, and I love it. The construction is top-notch, the private hot tubs are a dream, and it’s quiet enough to get good sleep. With a fully equipped kitchen and gas appliances, cooking is easy instead of eating out all the time. I’d highly recommend Baycrest Lodge if you’re looking for a luxurious stay in Homer.

Baycrest feels like a little vacation every time, and it’s our favorite place we’ve stayed in Homer. We try to make it back at least a few times each year and recommend it to everyone we know. The units are beautifully decorated, spotless, and comfortable, with everything you need, including laundry, a full kitchen, and, of course, the hot tub. The views are hard to beat too. We love staying here.
