Linder Motor Lodge

I spent nearly two weeks here after my brother passed away. My room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and felt safe. I especially appreciated the hot shower and cold air conditioning. Mr. Ken, the owner, and the staff were all kind and accommodating. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Homer.

We were here 15 years ago and didn’t enjoy it, but it’s under new management now and being updated. The new beds with crisp, clean linens were wonderful, and the new floors, showers, and air conditioners made a difference. We stayed three days, had a great visit, and found the prices reasonable. It’s the only good motel in the area.

The room was clean, but it had a musty smell, so I brought out my Lysol and sprayed everything. The beds felt like sleeping on 2 x 4s, and the toilets were so low that it would be hard for elderly guests to get back up. They charged $80 for one night in a double-bed room, which felt like a joke. My August 2021 stay wasn’t this bad. I won’t spend money here again and will try Hillside motel next time.

I’m in Homer for work on the utility meters, and the location was just right for me. The owner is great and the rooms are clean. I don’t usually write reviews, but compared with other places of the same kind where I’ve stayed, this one is awesome. If you need somewhere nearby while staying in Homer, I’d pick this place.
