Residence Inn Birmingham Homewood

Breakfast had lots to choose from and was great, and the room was quiet and very nice. I couldn't find anything wrong with it, especially for a place people had described as a 2-star hotel. The front desk staff were good too. I asked them to match the price I found on Super.com, but they wouldn't, so I booked it right there while standing at the desk. From check-in through breakfast, it turned out to be a great stay.

This was our second stay, and we'll keep coming back when we're traveling through Alabama. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the staff were accommodating. We had one problem, but they fixed it right away. We stayed just one night this time.

I rarely write reviews, but after reading the earlier ones, I wanted to share this for future guests. We came to town for the Morgan Wallen concert, and the hotels within an hour of the stadium that seemed worth staying at had wildly inflated prices. This one was only $110 for a Saturday night. It smelled nice and looked recently updated. The white bedding was spotless, the beds were firm but comfortable, and there was a microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast was really good, with eggs, sausage, and two waffle makers, one for minis and one for full-size waffles. I nearly burned mine, but an employee came over and fixed it politely. The main downside was the thin walls. We could hear the next room's conversation clearly, and a barking dog woke us pretty early. That's not really the hotel's fault, though some soundproofing would help. I'm picky about hotels, and I'd definitely recommend this Homewood spot if you need a place in the Birmingham Al area. There’s plenty of food and shopping around the hotel, and the new amphitheater is about 15 minutes away. Water pressure in the bathroom was great. My only gripe is that my room didn't have a dresser, though there was a closet for hanging clothes. The hotel itself is good.
