Budget Inn Fairport

The room booking and check-in were a mess. We’d reserved two rooms, one with a king and one with a double, but they said there was only one room booked and didn’t have the king. It took nearly 20 minutes to sort out, and we ended up with two rooms with double beds. We were told the pet fee would be $15 per pet, then charged $20 per dog. I couldn’t reach anyone by phone for extra towels. The phone was from a Super 8 in Webster New York, though I don’t know if that was the problem or if they simply didn’t have a front desk employee. Ringing the bell brought someone down from the apartment above. I was very unimpressed with the service for the price and won’t stay there again. I’ll choose Red Roof next time.

I was visiting my son in Fairport and just needed a place to nap and sleep. The Budget was quiet, clean, and safe, and the price can’t be beat. I’ll come back. Thanks.

If you’d rather put your hard earned dough toward the area than the room, this is the place. The motel is clean and comfortable, run by a great couple, and right beside the old Rochester Syracuse trolly trail. There’s an amazing garden where the pool used to be. I love this motel and highly recommend it.

We almost started searching around Rochester for somewhere to stay because most hotels in Fairport had booked up well before the annual music festival. Luckily, a friend who knew the owners told us about the Budget Inn, only about three miles from the festival. From the road, it didn’t look promising, but we’re glad we stopped. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the owners clearly take pride in the place and care about guests. The night before we left, the owner came by to ask how our stay had been. You don’t often get that kind of attention at a Hilton. The garden in the middle of the hotel was another highlight, full of flowers and vegetables. They grow all their own food, so it was wonderfully fresh.
