Holiday Inn Express Waikiki

The rooms were really tight. We had two queens, but there was barely enough space for two people to move around, and the bathroom had a single sink and counter with little room for personal items. The hot tub was the biggest letdown. It was cold, and maintenance staff said it had been that way for a few weeks. The elevators were the next issue, the slowest I’ve experienced, and one went out during our stay. The staff were incredible, especially Gladys and Lindsay. Everyone from reservations through housekeeping and breakfast was friendly and kind. We needed an ADA room accommodation, and Gladys handled it with real care and made sure everything went smoothly. After we settled in, she even called our room to check that we were comfortable and had what we needed. The hotel itself was clean, quiet, and peaceful, with lovely views of the beach from one window and the city from another. Breakfast was a big plus, fresh and with plenty of options. The entrance was beautiful, with lots of places to relax. The roof deck is seriously undersold: it has several games, chess, golf, and ping pong. Guests can also use the game room systems and games, with views of the city nightlife and ocean.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good location, but Gladis at the front desk made the stay stand out. She was friendly, professional, and helpful from the start. She answered my questions, gave useful recommendations, and helped everything go smoothly. Her positive attitude made me feel welcome when I arrived. Employees like Gladis are a big reason people return. Thanks for making my stay so pleasant.

It was great being within walking distance of shops and the beach. The hotel was clean and the service was good. Breakfast was always busy, and about half the time there weren’t any seats, but the breakfast team did an amazing job. The pool was okay. The hot tub didn’t work, and I saw about 30 people react with shock at how cold it was. Our bathtub also wouldn’t drain.

We’ve stayed here a few times and have had a great experience every time. Shops and the beach are an easy walk away. Our rooms have been clean, and housekeeping always does a good job. I’m not really keen on the shower, but that’s just personal preference. The front desk staff, both day and evening, were always helpful and polite. Big thanks to Rosie, Chris, Gladys, Bea, and the rest of the team for making our stays pleasant.
