The ocean-view room had lovely decor and felt very comfortable, with breathtaking views over Waikiki Beach. We also watched unforgettable New Year’s fireworks from the stunning private beachfront location. We spent 6 nights and 7 days here, and the experience exceeded what we expected. Ambrose and Frank on the front-of-house team were wonderful. They remembered our names and made us feel welcome and valued. Rick helped a lot too, making the stay feel seamless. The concierge, store staff, and bell area team were helpful, and the whole hotel showed real attention to detail. Breakfast was more than adequate, and we thoroughly enjoyed supper and drinks at Voyager 47. The Level 3 views made dining there especially memorable. Mahalo x100 to the whole team. Ambrose and Frank are true assets to the hotel and a big reason we’ll return. Best wishes to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable. Gianni & Anna Garofalo

The Outrigger Reef is a comfortable, relaxed place to stay in Hawaii, with a great location and the amenities we needed: an ABC store, Monkeypod Restaurant, Starbucks, and a nice pool and hot tub. It’s not a high-end property, but Waikiki is very walkable from here. Our oceanfront room was spacious. The balcony was tight, but fine for two people to sit and have breakfast or coffee. Staff were great, though we didn’t interact with them much. The beach right outside is a bit rocky, but there are other options within walking distance. It’s a kid-friendly hotel, which you can decide is good or bad. Five stars from us. We’d stay again and recommend it.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was fresh, comfortable, and modern, and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. Housekeeping kept everything tidy, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always glad to help. We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t fault anything. We’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, high-quality hotel.

The beach next to the Outrigger Reef is narrow, but you can take a short walk on the paved path to the wider sandy stretch by Ft. DeRussy or head up the beach toward Diamond Head. The hotel’s location is terrific, and the rooms and grounds have been newly renovated. What really makes this property a favorite of mine in Waikiki is the live music at Kani Ka Pila Grill, 7 nights a week. Staff, from maintenance and housekeeping to upper management, are friendly and helpful.

We liked that the resort isn’t right on Waikiki Beach. It’s a short walk there, but being away from the main strip made things quieter and less chaotic. The valet staff were also friendly and efficient. The open-air design gives the property an airy, welcoming island feel. Our room was very spacious, modern, and comfortable. Even with the resort busy, we barely waited for the fast elevators. Monkeypod was excellent, with fresh fish and an amazing waitress. The gym was spacious and well-equipped. The pool was nice, though a little small for a hotel of this size. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for a visit to the Waikiki area.
