The staff were friendly and attentive, and the location is right by the beach. My issue was the room: I booked a partial view that looked nice on Booking.com, but they put me on the sixth floor, where a tall tower-like structure blocked it. I’ll add photos here. After booking, make sure you get a higher floor. I think the seventh floor should be okay. There’s also a hotel fee of about $57 per day. It covers things like towels, beach chairs, and surfboards. Ask reception and they’ll explain.

The view stretches from Diamond Head to Canoes surf break, and the beds were really comfortable. Our room was very clean, too. My wife and I stayed 11 nights at the Park Shore, our second visit, and we’ve tried a lot of places on Oahu. This one has everything we need. The beach is just across the road, and Oakberry Açai has recently opened in the foyer. Staff, including the cleaning team, were always smiling and quick to help. Olivia, Kai, June, and one of the General Managers, Matthew, made us feel especially at home. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

We spent a lot of our time out on the balcony, enjoying the views and Waikiki atmosphere. For a comfortable stay at a solid price, this worked well, and I’d consider coming back for the location alone. If you’re after a luxury resort, though, it may not be the right fit. Park Shore Waikiki is right by the beach, with lots of places to eat and food trucks within walking distance. There’s also an ABC store on the ground floor by the lobby. Our room had a partial view of the beach and a bit of Diamond Head, not a full ocean view. The sunsets were still breathtaking. For a wider, less obstructed ocean view, you could upgrade to a room on the other side, though you’d see less of Diamond Head. The room was a little old and dated, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. They leave paper cups instead of glassware, and housekeeping comes every two days rather than daily. That was fine for us. The pool was decent for a relaxed afternoon, nothing fancy, and we only used it once. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The building shows some age, but the staff made our visit feel special. Travis and Angel at the front desk went out of their way to help, and June at the valet treated us like honored guests. Everyone we met seemed glad to be there. Even small gestures stood out. A man mopping near the elevators noticed us and pressed the button so we wouldn’t have to wait. Those personal touches left us feeling pampered and grateful. Thank you to the whole Park Shore Wiki team for such a warm, professional stay!

Friendly, helpful staff, and the view can make up for the room. If you stay here, try for a corner room as high up as possible, above level 10. The hotel sits right in the lively middle of Waikiki, where there’s always something happening, especially on weekends. But our two bed corner room felt too small with kids. The property is a bit dated, and the beds were only double size. With two children sharing the space, it wasn’t the most relaxing stay.
