Marine Surf by Tropical Escapes Realty

The location is good, and the room was fairly spacious. Free parking, laundry in the building, a water fountain downstairs, and some beach gear on the balcony were useful. But our 5 nights at Marine Surf Waikīkī were a terrible experience, and those positives didn't make up for the basic problems or the slow, passive communication. I had to keep chasing them, and nothing was properly resolved. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it, especially to families with children. The stress and discomfort weren't worth it. There's no front desk or in-person help. Everything goes through text or email, which sounds convenient but was frustrating and inefficient. On the first night we found the curtains completely broken. I contacted them right away. Without a way to block the sun, we woke at 6 AM every day, and our baby couldn't nap properly. After a whole day of “checking,” they said our only option was a refund and finding another hotel ourselves. It was awful to be on vacation with an infant and suddenly told to pack up and find somewhere else at the last minute. After lots of messages, we were moved to another unit on day 3. The curtains worked there, but the AC didn't. It was humid and very uncomfortable at night in Hawaii. I reported it immediately. There was no response the first day. The next day they sent a video claiming the AC “works,” but no air came out. They said someone would come check, though I don't know if anyone actually did. The AC never worked during the stay, and we just suffered through the final night.
