We had a lovely 10-day family trip to Oahu, and the hotel’s location made it easy to walk to groceries, restaurants, Ala Moana Center, and the beach. The one letdown was the pool, which was too cold to swim in. Otherwise, we had a great stay and plan to return. We were upgraded from a one-bedroom residential suite with a mountain view to an oceanfront view. Jessa at the front desk was especially kind, helpful, and dependable, and housekeeping brought anything I asked for within minutes. We ate at SERA restaurant for breakfast most days. Our Titanium membership included a continental breakfast, with a $10-per-person charge to upgrade to the buffet. The buffet was excellent, and I was glad it included rice, salmon, and miso soup. The gym was clean and well equipped, and the team kept the gym and pool areas in good shape.

Kainoa at the front desk has made a great stay feel even more special. He’s welcoming, professional, kind, and always happy to help with a smile. We’ve felt valued and looked after, and I really appreciate his service. I’m still staying here, and so far everything has gone smoothly, from check-in onward. The property is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I’d gladly recommend the hotel.

The room was spacious, the view was lovely, and the bed was comfortable enough for restful nights during our 14 days at the Renaissance Hotel in Honolulu. The lobby is beautiful, with a welcoming atmosphere and scent, and every staff member we met was pleasant. Paris bakery in the building was a highlight for its coffee and pastries. It would be more convenient if guests could charge purchases there to their room or pay with daily resort credits. This felt like a solid three-star stay, though I’m giving it four stars for the property’s potential. The room refrigerator helped, but there’s no on-site shop for snacks, drinks, or basic supplies. The pool area looks nice, but condo and apartment residents share it, and it doesn’t operate like a resort pool: there’s no food or drink service, and it’s self-serve. Housekeeping was uneven, and we often had to request basics like washcloths, toilet paper, and coffee supplies, sometimes almost daily. Toward the end, we had a travel-related credit card problem. I appreciated the notice, but a call to our room at 10:15 p.m. felt late. We sorted it out first thing the next morning, then later found our keys deactivated and had to return to the desk for replacements. For an affordable, well-located city base for exploring the island, I’d recommend this place. Anyone wanting lots of amenities or a resort-style pool with service may find it doesn’t fit. Better housekeeping and guest conveniences would help it reach its potential.

A cancelled flight left me booking the Renaissance at the last minute, and I ended up having an amazing stay. Bruce at Sway Bar on the 8th floor was awesome, and I really enjoyed my time there. Patrice at the front desk was incredibly helpful, while Brooke made departure easier by helping with my luggage and being friendly and kind. The staff made the visit memorable with their outstanding service. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you!

The view from our Resident Studio Suite with Grand Ocean View was stunning and one of the best parts of our week-long Christmas stay. This was our third time in Hawaii, and since the hotel is brand new, everything felt pristine and modern. We had a fantastic time as a family and will definitely return. Being across the street from Ala Moana Center made shopping and grocery trips easy. As Marriott Platinum members, we got complimentary continental breakfast and could upgrade to the full buffet for a small fee. We also appreciated the $25 daily credit and shuttle service to popular spots. The swimming pool and spa were enjoyable, and staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. Highly recommended!
