We spent a week here and would happily come back. The ocean view from our roomy room didn’t disappoint, and every employee we met was super friendly. It’s just a block from the beach, which we loved. The fridge was a little small, and there’s no microwave. Aside from that, everything was perfect for us.

The location and competitive price may be why this place stays in business. If budget is your only concern, it might do, but I’d look elsewhere if you expect even modest service and responsiveness. I’m also a Hilton Gold status member. I can already imagine the nonchalant “owners” reply. This felt like a motel, not a full-service hotel. The main problem was service, with both concierge and housekeeping far below expectations. I called to ask for a portable fan and got abruptly hung up on. When I asked for a roll of tape to seal my luggage, they told me to come downstairs and get it myself. There was only one roll for the whole property, with no spare. Staff seemed confused by anything outside their basic routine, and I wouldn’t expect much help with requests beyond the script.

It’s a block from the beach, and I was a little unsure about not being right on the water, but the location turned out to be great. There are lots of restaurants, and the International Market is just down the road. The hotel is very nice, and the staff were excellent. My housekeeper introduced himself on day one, so I knew who would be entering my room, and he did an excellent job. Guest services replied promptly when I texted for anything. The front of the building had noticeably more street and club noise than the back. Room service was convenient, though the fees felt a bit pricey when ordering for one. I’d stay there again.

The mountain view from my room was beautiful, and the rooms were very clean. There were lots of fun activities, too. I came for my birthday and had a great time. The service was wonderful, everyone was kind, and the beach was only about a five-minute walk. I’ll definitely come back 😁

The ocean view wasn’t really an ocean view 😜, though the beach and plenty of food spots were walkable. They also offer indoor packages for guided tours. You can request a microwave, but it costs a flat $50 for the whole stay. We booked through Costco, which came with $25 in food credits and no resort fees. Breakfast was included, with a decent spread. Service was good, and we could borrow chairs from valet parking. The valet was quick bringing cars in and out.
