The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort

We spent a wonderfully indulgent weekend at The Preserve. It’s easy to make the stay as busy or as restful as you like: there are lots of activities, or you can curl up by the in-room fireplace with a book and hibernate in comfort. The on-site Double Barrel Steak had excellent food and service, and the self-catering accommodations come with fully equipped kitchens styled like something from a high-end design magazine. I may not be able to live without that pull-out under-counter microwave now. Some of the experiences are truly unusual, too, like dining in a hobbit house.

Our guests were taken with the scenery, the facilities, and how genuinely welcoming the staff were, even helping a few people out in the parking lot. Having our wedding at The Preserve was the best decision we made, and the whole stay was handled by an organized, professional team. We were also grateful for the townhouse upgrade. Everyone staying there was delighted, and Tricia and I were especially stunned by how beautiful our quarters were. Erin deserves a special mention for planning everything so smoothly, from the venue options at the start through the last-minute details. The girls in Tricia’s party had a relaxing time at the spa with massages and facials. Jake and I spent a great morning at the indoor range. The range guide clearly enjoyed his work and went out of his way to make us comfortable. We’re seasoned shooters, and he seemed to enjoy our static and moving sessions as much as we did. Jake hit it off with him, and they got into a conversation about specs and optics on several weapon platforms that went over my head. Thanks again for the hospitality. We appreciated it so much.

The property is beautiful, and the customer service is top-notch. I loved the peaceful spa and the fine dining, especially the Hobbit House experience, so make sure to book that. The equestrian center is worth a visit too. The Preserve makes a perfect luxury getaway.

We had a really great weekend at The Preserve with the whole family. The grounds and facilities are beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. It is expensive, but the quality makes the price understandable. Thanks for a great stay!
