The Charter Club Of Marco Beach

Beach access was easy, and we spent time by the pool every day. We stayed for a week, and it was a fun experience. The rooms were great and set up perfectly for two couples. We usually cooked breakfast and lunch at the condo, then went out for dinner, with lots of nearby options. Everything was very clean, and the staff responded quickly. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented from a third party on the beach, but driving over every time might make you want to bring your own and save $150 a week for two chairs and an umbrella.

The huge Gulf-facing balcony had four chairs, a chaise, and a large table for meals, and the private beach access led to a wonderful beach. The pool was nice, though small for a resort. This is a pleasant retro-style condo complex on the Gulf, with unit entrances and elevators outside along the balcony. The elevators are small and a bit slow, so expect a wait when it’s busy. Our two-bedroom unit was spacious and nicely decorated, with a large kitchen stocked with the appliances needed to entertain. The bathrooms were dated but functional. Our king bed was very firm, and my wife and I woke up a bit achy. The electrical outlets need updating, too. Plugs fell right out of them for no clear reason. Still, it’s a great place for a relaxing vacation.

The suites were high-end and beautifully decorated, and the pool area was lovely. Charter club was beautiful and very clean.

We enjoyed Marco Island, and there were some good things about the stay. It’s a low-key, relaxed place, the check-in staff were friendly and helpful, and the balconies were huge with amazing views. The beachfront location included free use of sailboats, paddle boards, and kayaks, and the grill area and pool were very nice. But our room was dirty, with cockroaches and a bad ant problem. The air conditioning barely worked. It got down to only 72 at night and 75 during the day. The dryer was so loud we couldn’t use it while we were there, and service was slow. We waited three days for a few extra towels.
