Americas Best Value Inn

The AC was the best part. It cooled the room quickly and stayed cold all night. Fine for a quick overnight stop before getting back on the road. The room was pretty clean, though not spotless. We had one washcloth and no shower towels.

My wife saw how the rooms were handled while she was checking out. The cleaners had a grocery cart but no cleaning supplies, and after tossing the used towels they made the bed without changing the sheets. I booked through priceline for my wife and stepdaughter to break up their drive to visit me. I usually don't read reviews because express deals have never caused me trouble before. Then my wife called from the room: there was a toenail on the bed, and the floor didn't look swept or mopped. People were smoking weed near the doors. They had one coffee packet, no stirrer, creamer, or sugar, and only one towel and one washcloth. The pool was closed, there was no breakfast at all despite the complimentary breakfast listing, and the desk attendant wasn't helpful. There wasn't even a room phone to call the front desk or police in an emergency. Terrible experience. Would not recommend.

The room was definitely worth the price, and it was much better than I expected. It was very clean and smelled nice, though there were a few small stains on the sheets. The front desk area is under maintenance, and the outside looks a little old.

The room was awful. The sink looked like it hadn't been cleaned, and a roach ran across the tub while I was showering. I killed it with the shower curtain. One photo shows that roach, and another shows a live one crawling on the wall after it had just left the table where it was eating chicken. They claimed to offer continental breakfast, but all there was was coffee. I was hoping for orange juice and a sausage biscuit, or even a doughnut. When I asked the clerk why the pool still wasn't open, he said they couldn't afford to open it. This was the most horrible place I've ever stayed.
