Hampton Inn & Suites Hope

The location is good and the staff are nice, but the noise makes this hard to recommend if you need rest. The walls are very, very thin. I was on the third floor and could hear what sounded like someone stomping overhead, plus the neighbor's TV as if it were in my room. There was no construction, so I couldn't figure out whether the footsteps were from next door or where they were coming from. Either way, the noise was heavy.

This motel is hard to beat, with good places to eat nearby and free homemade cookies. It's near freeway access, yet sits at the edge of town and was very quiet at night, so I slept well. One of the very best Hampton Inns I've stayed at.

I'd definitely stay here again. The friendly staff and super clean rooms make this a great Hampton, and the TV was great too. The fitness center had the best equipment I've seen at this level of hotel. There are a few drawbacks: the toilets are very low and low-flow, and our AC motor made some crazy noises when starting and stopping. Still beats the hotels in Texarkana.

The location suited our needs perfectly, and the breakfast spread was the best we've had, a nice end to an overnight stay. The room was clean, though the mattresses and pillows were the usual terrible Hampton Inn ones, and hallway noise was typical too. The value for the price was excellent. Service wasn't superb, but it wasn't awful. After a seven-hour drive, we waited about 20 minutes to be acknowledged while the only desk person handled a phone call. She didn't even try to acknowledge us, which was disappointing when we needed the restroom and wanted to settle in. I'd recommend it, as long as you don't expect a phenomenal interaction with staff.
