Shiny Motel

The owners are top notch and showed amazing hospitality. They made my stay feel perfect. There's a wonderful gazebo for smokers, plus a great spot to sit, enjoy the stay, and relax with a friend. The place was very clean and in a wonderful location. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were spotless.

My husband and I stopped here on the way to see the Tree of Life in Kalaloch. The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us, and the room was very clean and cozy. My husband asked for extra pillows, and they happily brought some. The bathroom fan was a little loud but bearable. If you're on a budget, this place is definitely worth your business.

A great little value stay: the room was super clean, the bed very comfortable, and there was a large fridge and freezer. Jackie, the owner, was an absolute sweetheart when she checked us in and out. In the morning, she even scraped the frost off our windshield. Highly recommend!

After three weeks driving across the country in my SUV, I needed a proper rest before an appointment in Hoquiam, a beautiful little town. I'm glad I picked the Shiny Motel, and I'll stay there again when I'm back in the area. I arrived late in heavy rain, but the proprietor was there to greet me and help me to my room. She was so kind, and our conversation at checkout meant a lot to me. I'll cherish it. The room felt cozy and safe, and everything was clean. The parking lot has a stunning forest view. The windows open, if you want, and the heat took a little while to come on, but it got very toasty, so I turned it down later. There was a small coffeepot, fridge, microwave, TV, and soap in the shower. I found the charging connections on the tables beside the bed really helpful. The bed was firmer than plush, but I slept great. My only real struggle was using the key card fob on the door, which I'm sure was user error. Thanks for a lovely stay. I hope you have many happy years there and that other guests leave feeling a little better, like I did.
