Best Western Plus Horseheads - Elmira

The room was a good size, and the hotel was clean and well located for a visit to Elmira, with lots of stores nearby. Two things were inconvenient: there’s no coffee maker in the room, so even for hot water you have to go down to the main breakfast area. Also, there are no mirrors outside the bathrooms, which made getting ready take longer.

The breakfast area was my favorite part. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and coffee, tea, and juice were available around the clock. The rooms were lovely, too, and housekeeping and the rest of the staff always made sure we had what we needed. We had such a wonderful stay and will definitely be back soon. The staff were the standout for me, really friendly, good at reading the room, and great to work with. I’d pick this place again in the Horseheads area because it’s clear good people manage and run it. I was worried about road noise since busy roads and highways surround the hotel, but once inside I barely remembered they were there. The location turned out better than expected. The room was ordinary, nothing fancy, but I had no real complaints. I stayed two nights and didn’t get room service, which I’ve seen at several hotels lately and assume is a cost saving measure. The shower door wouldn’t stay shut, so the bathroom got wet, and the towels were small and scratchy, about what you’d expect at a budget hotel. I’d stay here again on a work trip. For the price, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a budget friendly place.

The kindness and flexibility here made traveling with our three-month-old much easier. After driving more than three hours, we needed to check in early, and the staff had set aside a room in advance so it would be ready when we arrived. They also had a pack ’n play we could use. Our son fell asleep just before checkout the next morning. When we asked to stay until 12 PM, the staff agreed right away, which let us keep him on his feeding and nap schedule before heading home. I don’t usually write reviews, but we really appreciated how understanding and family-friendly everyone was. You can tell they care about their guests, and I’d highly recommend staying at Best Western Plus Horseheads Inn & Suites.
