The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the price was great. I’ll book here again when I’m back.

Everything we needed, including towels and toiletries, was in the room. The trouble was the noise outside at night: loud music and people yelling kept waking us, even with the windows shut. I’d take off two stars for that. Quiet hours really need to be enforced better, especially on a weekday.

The owners and staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. I can’t say enough good things about how kind they were. The internet and TV worked really well, too, but that’s where the positives ended for us. Our upstairs room at the back was filthy. The walls were dirty, there was poop in the toilet, only two lights worked, and the smell was unlike anything I’d ever encountered. I also slipped in vomit right after entering and fell hard, twisting my knee pretty badly. I didn’t see it before stepping in it. We paid about $75 after tax, and I left that money behind by checking into another hotel instead. It was a huge disappointment. Maybe it was just the room we got and the rooms up front are decent, but ours felt straight out of the horror movie vacancy. I hate writing this because the people were so nice, but others should know.

I can’t imagine these rooms are properly cleaned. It felt like they take out the trash and make the beds, then stop. There were dead bugs in every light fixture, handprints in the shower, greasy marks on the curtain, a broken picture pane, and a filthy mirror. The floor was dirty, a cabinet door was coming off, and there was a bullet hole in the door. A huge gap underneath let in daylight, and we heard the party next door for half the night. What really got me was seeing that the sticky heart drawings on the furniture, shown in a post from a year ago, are still there. Easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed at.
