The room was really nice and beautiful, and the service was amazing. The close parking was included, and you can choose to pay $20 for valet. The gravel lot was pretty smooth. Having only one night stand was a little strange. I use a CPAP, so I had to take it, and my girlfriend had to charge her phone on the arm of a chair pulled close by. The mattress was very hard, and I actually woke up with a stiff back.
The restaurant team was really kind and helpful, and we used the two free-drink vouchers before our dinner reservations. There are plenty of EV chargers on the top floor of the parking garage, too. Check-in and checkout both went smoothly, and our room was spacious and clean. We’ll stay here again on our next trip to Hot Springs.
Getting around was easy since the shops and downtown attractions are all within a comfortable walk. I also got the high-floor room I requested, with a lovely view of the city from the 14th floor. The room was roomy and clean, and the staff were fantastic. For the price, it felt like a great value. 👌
The staff member at the desk was kind and came up with us when our room door wouldn’t open. We’d thought we had the wrong room, but they showed us how to lift the handle, explaining that the doors “just break sometimes.” We’d arrived late and had checked in quickly, but getting there meant paying for parking in an open deck that didn’t seem monitored, then taking a smelly elevator with sticky floors to the 10th floor. The hallway carpet was heavily stained, and there was visible debris piled by the doorway and in the room threshold. Once we got inside, my husband noticed his hands were sticky from the door handle. The room had a stagnant, possibly moldy smell. I’ve stayed in plenty of mediocre hotels, so that alone hadn’t put me off. Then I saw bits of food around the bed. There was hair, dust, dirt, and crumbs across the floors, inside drawers, and on the bathroom and shower walls. Water stains and mold were visible around the fire sprinklers, too. We checked one bed and found lots of hair in different lengths, textures, and colors on the worn, dingy sheets and mattress cover. It looked like buildup from many previous guests, not a few stray hairs. The fabric mattress protectors had zippers and didn’t seem easy to remove between linen changes, which left me wondering what was underneath. I thought I might manage one night in the other bed and leave in the morning, but then we saw stains on the sheets. Under them, yellow and brown marks had soaked through the mattress cover. They didn’t look new, so I could only assume the sheets weren’t being changed regularly. I can put up with a bit of dirt or hair in an old hotel, but unwashed bedding is inexcusable when a hotel is meant to give you a place to sleep. Spare yourself the misery and pay a little more for included onsite parking, clean sheets, and basic attention to detail.
Kyven (hope I spelled that right) was fantastic. We arrived Friday at 11, and after the valet refused to help because it was 11pm and he was done for the night, Kyven checked us in and took care of the car. He was friendly and gave great service. The other guy was very rude. I was still very disappointed with the hotel. Our room floor was filthy, and the place badly needs updating. I paid $500 for the weekend. I won’t stay here again.
