If you're after something fancy, this probably won't suit you. It's a 50's style motel, with old-fashioned pictures and lamps that give it a nostalgic feel. Our room was very clean, and the host was kind and accommodating, upgrading us to a two-bedroom room with a kitchenette. For a quiet, pet-friendly place near the hot springs, clean is at the top of my list, and I highly recommend it.

We got snowed in for about a week, and they let us stay as long as we needed at a reduced price. We also had access to the Hot Springs whenever we wanted. The woman at the front desk was so warm and motherly that we joked we'd like her to be our mom. The service was better than any 6 star place I've stayed at. I still think about how amazing that experience was. My wife and I were driving cross-country a few years ago, heading home to Utah after almost 20 hours on the road from Ohio. Just past Denver, we decided to explore the Rockies, taking 70 and then 40 toward Granby. The sun was setting and we needed a place to crash, so we pulled into this cozy-looking motel with a neon sign. The lady welcomed us without any questions or tension, and made us feel at home. Thank you for being so wonderful.

Deb made us feel so welcome when we arrived late, around 9:30 at night. The room was clean and came with an amazing little extra room and kitchenette, more than we'd expected. She also let us know we could get into the hot springs across the way for half price by showing proof we'd stayed at the hotel. There were muffins and coffee in the morning, too. A 10 out of 10 for us. We'll bring our business back whenever we're in the area.

The linens and towels were soft, clean, and didn't feel like a Brillo pad, but the room was only marginally clean. It's hard to imagine surface-level cleaning being acceptable in a building from the 50's(?), and I wouldn't walk around without shoes or something on my feet. The hot plate is so old the numbers have worn off, though it did boil water. The poor insulation and other basic fixes still need attention. Bring Lysol and disinfecting wipes.

I slipped on ice in the parking lot by the office entrance. When I told Manager Deb, she rolled her eyes and said, “Great.” My arms are okay, thanks for your concern, DEB.
