Quality Inn

We only booked one night, and it worked out well. The room was clean, the basic amenities were all we needed, and the AC worked fine. The building is obviously older and could use a few updates. I liked how the windows look over the lounge and pool, it reminded me of the hotel where I got married. The front desk woman was helpful, though she seemed to have a lot to handle, and the manager, or maybe owner, was kind and asked if he could do anything else for us. I travel a lot, especially through this area, and chose this place for its good price compared with nearby hotels. I’d come back. Great location right by 127.

Water was flooding the hallway, and there were buckets in the lobby catching leaks. The bed cover was dirty, some windows were broken, the door stuck and had to be slammed, and the carpet was torn. There was no water pressure, the landscaping hadn’t been done in weeks, and the room phone didn’t work. The one worker I saw in two days was friendly but running herself ragged trying to handle everything alone, so we couldn’t find her when we needed something. Breakfast was terrible, and we ended up going to McDonald’s. Terrible hotel. I’d never stay here again!

The rooms are nice, and the front desk staff were too. Breakfast could use more options. The hotel seems to be under renovation after previously being another hotel, and some things are still under construction. There was no hot water in the pool or hot tub, apparently due to an issue on that side of the hotel. We were assigned a room there and found out it had no hot water either. Since we had a small baby and our parents with us, hot water was important. The owner/front desk changed our room to one where it was available.

I gave one star because they refunded us. I’m writing this to warn anyone who thinks the bad photos might be old and the hotel has been renovated. It hasn’t. The place is in such disrepair that it’s hard to believe they’re letting people stay there. Water was coming through the lobby roof into full trash cans. There were broken windows, security bars on some exterior doors, and grass and weeds growing through the parking lot. It looked abandoned for years. I’ve stayed in some sketchy places alone, but this may be the worst I’ve seen. Leaving was an easy decision since I was with my family.
