I went for my step son's college graduation, and we were only 5-6 minutes from everything. The coffee shop was just up the street, and the restaurants were all great. The continental breakfast had lots to choose from, including a waffle station. Staff were super friendly, especially. I can't say enough good things about them, they were the best! It's a beautiful location. If you can, get a room facing the mountain, it's definitely worth it.

We had a great hot chocolate in the afternoon after being out in the cold, and the breakfast was really good too. My family stayed here over Christmas, when the hotel's decorations were lovely and the winter scenery was picturesque. My sister and I watched people ski from the window. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and every staff member was amazing, especially Calah. Our rental car wasn't safe to drive, so she looked up transportation services and made recommendations for us. She went above and beyond for my family, and we're so grateful. Staying at the Super 8 was the best choice for our hotel. If I come back to Houghton, it'll be my first choice.

Everything else was really good, and the rooms were clean. The odd thing was that the bathroom sink's cold tap ran hot, just like the hot one. Same problem with the sink in the continental breakfast room, its cold tap only gave lukewarm water. We couldn't get a cold drink there unless we went to a special fountain down the hall. You guys need a good plumber.

The staff were friendlier than I expected, and the room was clean. It's a handy little spot in Houghton, right by the college and on the water, with easy access to everything. The pool and hot tub were great, and breakfast was quick and easy. We'll definitely come back when we're in the area.

Our lakeside room made the stay even nicer. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. The whole trip was amazing. For a couple, Joey’s Seafood was the best dinner we had out.
