Budget Inn Houma

The spa was a great way to unwind, and breakfast each morning had plenty of gourmet choices. I also loved the suite, with its city skyline views, soft furnishings, and decor that mixed modern comfort with a classic feel. From the welcome drink and warm greeting in the elegant lobby to the attentive service throughout, I felt looked after. It was a luxurious, relaxing stay, and I left refreshed and wanting to come back.

The manager was genuinely kind and apologetic, and they switched my room quickly. The rooms are basic but very clean, though mine had a damp, moldy smell. The location was pretty good, close to everything.

The staff were great and found me a room when I needed somewhere to stay. It had been remodeled neatly, and it made for a decent stop overall. The floor wasn't well kept, so I made do with socks. It was meant to be smoke-free, but I could smell smoke. Check-out is at 10.

I called about renting a room for a week and was told I'd have to wait until check-out time. My family and I are trying to find somewhere to stay while we get out of a homeless shelter, where we've been treated badly by other residents and workers because of race.
