The room was the part that mattered, and it was great. The bathroom, bed, and fridge were all clean. The outside could use fresh paint and a few small fixes, so I’m not sure where the reviews calling it outdated come from. Breakfast was my one real gripe: I’d have preferred sausage and eggs and similar options instead of just waffles and cereal.

The room didn’t look outdated, but it didn’t seem to have been cleaned well. The couch was worn and stained, and marks on the walls made the place feel neglected. Even the TV remote was missing its back cover, a small thing that should have been taken care of. For a hotel like Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Houston at Hwy 6, cleanliness and basic upkeep should matter. With better attention to both, it might be a decent choice, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

I’ve been here more than two months straight and would live here forever if I could. It’s family-owned, really clean, and in a nice location. I feel safe here, and they have surveillance cameras all over the property. The staff are the best ever, seriously.

I travel often and keep coming back to this hotel when I’m in the area. The people running it are friendly and helpful, and it’s quiet and clean. There’s plenty of parking, the rooms have comfortable bedding and lots of space, and they look and smell new. Breakfast is basic but enough, and the prices beat the bigger hotels.

For early check-in at 7 am, I was charged 105 dollars because they said their only available room had two beds. On the way to the room I passed lots that looked available. The one I got was barely cleaned, with someone’s hair on the floor and in the shower. The price and customer service weren’t worth it. They nailed the bad service and partial cleaning, and I’d never stay there again.
