Comfort Suites Humble Houston IAH

My daughters felt safe and at ease here, which mattered most to me. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh each morning with hot coffee. The staff were consistently kind and attentive. Pam, the Manager, handled a few little issues I had with a lot of grace and even made me laugh. She has a way of making you feel respected and valued. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a long time.

We picked this hotel for the weekend of Feb 14th because it was near the event venue. The front desk clerk was warm and welcoming, but the room was another story: there were just two tissues, no hand soap, and black marks along the bottom of a dirty shower. They had no vacant rooms to move us to, and since our booking was non-refundable, we were stuck making other shower arrangements during the visit. The elevator was also out on our second night, so we climbed three flights of stairs. We won't book here again, even if the event is held in the hotel's meeting room.

Under new management, and nothing seems to work. There was no breakfast, toilet tissue in the bathroom, working television, or pool. They said there'd be no refund once we checked in, and offered an email for guest relations or a room switch if we wanted to watch TV. None of this was mentioned on the website for potential guests. I won't stay here again. First and last time.

We needed somewhere to stay for six days after a long Sunday night, and luckily they had rooms. Miss J (for short) was so patient and kind with us, and the place had a calm, soothing feel. The cleaning staff stayed on top of things, and breakfast and in-room service were both pretty good. Our first room did have a broken toilet, and the elevator wasn't working. Still, we enjoyed the stay. It was affordable and worth it.
