The room smelled REALLY bad. I had a candle with me and used it to help, but when I returned later that night there was also a roach on my door. The bathroom sink took a long time to drain, too. This is the nastiest Courtyard I’ve been to, just not a good hotel. It’s in a rough corner of katy tx, but I didn’t mind much since I got the room free with my points.

The shower is one of my favorite parts, and it’s a quiet hotel close to restaurants on the Katy Freeway. I stay here pretty often because the rooms are always clean and the staff are always nice. It’s become my favorite hotel.

Usually my Courtyard stays go pretty well, but this one was a bad experience. Hot water came out of both sink taps and the shower, so they were pretty much unusable. The person at reception reluctantly tried moving me to another room, but it had the same problem. I might have let that go if the hotel administration had shown even a hint of an apology the next morning when I complained. Instead, they were completely defensive, wouldn’t acknowledge any issue, and tried to recast it as a citywide or area-wide problem. I’m not staying at this location again.

Jeff at the front desk was excellent, friendly, and very hospitable. I’d definitely stay here again when I come to Houston.

Bistro chef Melvin was really accommodating and welcoming, especially to travelers worn out from the road. The food and conversation were great.
