The room smelled disgusting, and my clothes reeked of cigarettes. I had to cover the sheets and pillow with my clothes to mask the odor. At 11 p.m., nobody was at the front desk, so I waited 45 minutes for the staff member to arrive. He smelled like he’d been smoking marijuana and showed up in plain street clothes with no uniform or other way to identify him as an employee.

The room was comfortable and nice, and I like the location because it’s easy to get around from there. I’ve had a very good stay. Sabrina and Martha at the front desk are courteous, helpful, and really accommodating.

We won’t stay here again. There were roaches in the room, the doors were only half painted, and the coat hook was coming loose. There were no ice buckets or cups, and although breakfast is advertised online and at the front desk, they only had coffee and stale wrapped muffins. No room cleaning either. I also found the front office staff asleep in plain sight.

The location worked perfectly for my job, with quick access to I-10, and there was plenty to do around that part of Katy when I was off. The employees were courteous and helpful, too. They accepted several packages for me and even brought them to my room when multiple deliveries arrived, which I appreciated. I stayed five weeks, split into two visits with a week away. The furniture was worn, though the second room was in somewhat better shape than the first. Roaches were an issue. With kitchenettes in every room, I figured there might be a pest problem and brought HomeDefenseMax to treat my room, but it didn't do much. During my stay, I saw one notice saying the property had been professionally treated. As an adult man, I felt safe during my stay, though I can see how others might feel differently. Some tenants seemed a bit sketchy. One morning around 6 a.m., two young women argued loudly in the hallway about a man, who tried unsuccessfully to calm things down. None of the three were wearing much. A couple of times, someone also approached me asking if I had extra work. Their appearance made the question understandable, but it was still strange.
