Eric’s is open all the time, and the front desk staff are efficient and professional. Housekeeping did a great job, and the hotel was pristine.

The garage was my least favorite part by far, but everything else about this hotel was incredible. The room was comfortable, the bed felt like sleeping on clouds, and there was a nice restaurant, a beautiful courtyard, and a space honoring the university. The lobby made it easy to relax and connect with people. My favorite part was the staff. S.J. welcomed me so warmly and went out of his way to make me feel at home. I can't recall everyone's names, but every staff member who helped me was polite and professional. You don't get that kind of service everywhere.

It was our first stay at this Hilton, while we were in town for my nephew's graduation. We had an oversized vehicle that couldn't fit in the garage, and the staff gave us a pass to park at the loading dock overnight. They also signed for a document we needed delivered by FEDEX and had it ready when we checked in. We really appreciated how professional and helpful they were with both unusual requests. We'd stay again and recommend it to friends and family.

We've stayed here many times and have always found the rooms clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff courteous. But after staying at plenty of hotels around the world, including many Hiltons and Hyatts, I think this place badly needs to adjust its prices. I've had much better experiences at Holiday Inns, Best Western, La Quinta Inn, and others. The price we paid for a tiny room was $329, with no food included, though it did come with two bottles of water. There are usually two room sizes: a normal one and a micro-room barely large enough for two queen beds, a nightstand, a table, an awkward desk, and a minifridge. The bathroom is so cramped that sitting on the toilet means bumping the toilet paper holder unless you sit sideways. The online rate looks like $181 with taxes, but we've never actually seen that price. Rates jump when the hotel is 90% booked or there's an event. The full-size rooms are more comfortable, but this is about the only place on or near campus, so parents visiting or bringing kids to school have few nearby choices. Add food from the decent restaurant, a dim garage with only compact spaces and door ding poles every two to four spaces, broken elevators, and no amenities, and a quick weekend visit costs a lot. I wish there were other safe, nearby options. It seems to be trying hard to be a four-star Hilton, but the hotel often feels like one in name only. Even the lobby is cold and sterile, like the Loft franchise with less pizzazz. Be prepared to pay four-star Hilton rates for a two- or three-star micro-room and a parking garage shakedown.
