Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston - Memorial City Centre by IHG

The room is nice, the quality is great, and the receptionist, the lady with the gold teeth, was so sweet. I asked to have my lost items shipped and have been waiting nearly two weeks for a response from the manager. I haven't received even one email confirming they got my request. Another receptionist told me it would be reviewed the day I submitted it, two weeks ago. I'm willing to pay to have the items sent, but it seems like they might just keep them. The receptionist described the items to me on the call, so I know they had them, and my boots are still at the hotel. This isn't how I thought it would be handled.

The rooms have practical furniture for travelers, including a wide luggage platform instead of a huge dresser, and enough closet space. The hotel is modern and clean, with good hot water and water pressure. Staff are friendly, parking is free and plentiful, and breakfast is included. The food is decent, though I’m not a fan of the paper plates and plastic forks. It’s handy for visits to Memorial City, but feeder-road traffic gets heavy at rush hour. Ask for a top-floor room, since sounds and footsteps carry down to the floors below. Good value for the location. I’d stay again and recommend it.

We loved this place. Very clean, comfy beds, and the air conditioning was wonderful 😁 I read a lot of reviews before booking, so I hope this helps someone else decide whether to stay here.

Tiffany, the manager, really changed how this whole experience ended for me. When I arrived on my scheduled check-in day, their system was down for an update and nobody knew when it would be back. I couldn’t wait, so I asked to cancel. The desk associate said I’d still be charged a fee and delivered that news rudely and dismissively, so I left. I called later to ask for a receipt for the charge, and Tiffany took over. She was calm, professional, and helpful even with phones ringing and customers around her. She emailed the receipt right away, then refunded the fee, all with a great attitude. I appreciate how thoughtfully she handled the problem. She showed the kind of customer care you hope for when something goes wrong.
