Hotel Park Place

I picked this place because it’s only 2.5 miles from Hobby Airport, and I’d stay here again. It’s a new property, built in 2025, so it’s still in its early days. My room was nice, with one bed and a full-size fridge that looked brand new, tape still inside the compartment. The grounds were clean and well maintained, though the other properties out front were under construction. The staff I met were friendly, and the Wi-Fi was great. There’s no pool, which I understand, and not many nearby restaurants unless you drive into the not-so-far City of Houston. I did find a really good Cajun place on Door Dash.

We came to Houston for the holiday and booked this so-called “hotel” for three nights without knowing what we were getting into. We only made it through the first night, and didn’t even get any sleep. Guests were arguing and fighting, while nearby cars raced and drifted in the parking lot. We didn’t feel safe, so we tried to cancel first thing in the morning. The front desk guy refused to cancel and wouldn’t refund the remaining two nights we hadn’t stayed. He said this was the first time anything like it had happened and tried to assure us it wouldn’t happen again. In the end, we had to contact Booking.com customer service to sort it out. I don’t recommend this place unless you’re okay with these problems. Be warned, they won’t refund you if you have to cancel for any reason.

This place is basic, with no frills, but it was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were simple and spotless, and everything seemed well cared for. It was very clean, quiet, and well maintained, which made the stay comfortable. The employees were nice too. It’s not right among the attractions, but a short drive will get you where you need to go. Good value if you want somewhere affordable, peaceful, and dependable.

I called to book a second room, but they sounded annoyed and hung up. When I called back, I was left on hold, so I canceled my first reservation. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
