The location is great for MD Anderson, and they offer a discount. Breakfast is solid, and there’s a shuttle. The rooms do often have a missed spot or two. There’s also a Level 2 EV charger that always has a space available, and it gets you better parking.
If you’re in town for a doctor’s appointment, I think this could be your best option, but it wasn’t as clean as other reviews made it sound. We checked in after 3, and the hallway was littered with used bedsheets, which was not appealing. The room was okay cleanliness-wise, though there were pockets of dust. The shower was fantastic, but the sink never got hot no matter which way I turned the faucet. I let it run for over 20 minutes and it stayed lukewarm, which isn’t good enough for washing my face. The breakfast buffet was plain disappointing and the worst we’ve experienced compared with other hotels. The stay was okay overall.
The service was great, and the staff were really helpful. The room had plenty of amenities, though I didn’t use them. There were cleanliness issues: a stain on the sheets, something stuck on the couch that seemed like leftover gum or candy, and dust and dirt around the mirror frame and by the air vent and wall. The bathroom was decent, but finding a long hair on the towels really grossed me out. I didn’t complain since I wasn’t staying long. Again, the service was great. Thank you.
The location is ideal if you need to be near the medical center, and the stay went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Breakfast was easily the best complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve had. There was a great variety, everything was fresh and well prepared, and it felt much better than the usual free hotel breakfast. The staff made a real difference. Everyone I met was warm, professional, and eager to help, and I felt welcome and cared for. The hotel is spotless, modern, and beautifully designed. My room was very comfortable, with plush bedding, thoughtful amenities, and a peaceful feel that made it easy to relax. Everything exceeded my expectations. This was one of my best hotel stays, and I’ll absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Houston.
The heated outdoor pool on the seventh floor has a huge patio, and we had fun there. The location is excellent for the enormous Medical Center complex, and it’s easy to reach the Museum District and Rice Village. I’d return. It’s a modern, busy hotel with comfortable rooms and a mini fridge, though no microwave. Breakfast was decent but didn’t have a huge selection, and there were no waffle makers. Parking was awkward: guest spaces are on floors 3 through 6, but the garage elevator only goes to the hotel’s first floor. You have to switch elevators to get to and from your room. Housekeeping doesn’t come daily, so you need to ask the front desk for things like towels and coffee. We waited more than an hour for coffee packets, gave up and left, and they were delivered while we were out.
