Hyatt Regency Houston/Galleria

The location worked really well for me, with The Galleria Mall, other shopping centers, and several good restaurants all within walking distance. Hobby Airport was about 22-25 minutes away. The room phone didn’t work, and parking was costly. Valet staff were kind, but the setup seemed disorganized and getting my car back took a long time. I’d have rated the stay and service five stars, but after leaving I got a bank alert that valet had charged me twice. I was promised a refund, and I hope the staff process it. If they don’t, I’ll have to ask my bank to sort it out.

The beds were really comfortable, the room was spotless, and everyone gave great customer service. My husband and I had a lovely two-night visit and would come back. There are lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance, too. Room service was the one snag. It took about 45 minutes, and my order was wrong. They remade it, which I appreciated, though that took another 45 minutes. They explained they were handling a lot of orders.

On our way out, we ate at the café and Elizabeth really brightened our day. That was one more example of how much the staff cared. At check-in, someone offered to take my room service order, and later they called to ask whether my son would be more comfortable with a roll away bed. They noticed what might improve our stay and offered help before I asked. It’s rare to find people who are that warm and attentive. The staff were simply outstanding. Well done, and please look after them. They deserve to be commended.

We had a fantastic stay. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and staff at the front desk were really helpful. The valet gentlemen were courteous, too. We even got a delicious margarita while waiting for our room. Breakfast stood out for both the high-quality food and the restaurant team's service. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming, and the location was great, with stores and restaurants all around. Highly recommended.
