The family suite had three 65” TVs, far too large and in the way of the doors. The focus seemed to be on putting oversized screens in each room, with more lining the halls waiting to be installed. For the $500 I paid for three nights, it was a very uncomfortable stay, and we won’t return or recommend it. We had five people but were given only two washcloths and four towels. When we asked for more, staff said we had to turn in the dirty ones first, counting each scratchy cloth in front of us. We had to run around after every shower to get towels, even though my reservation listed five people. We asked for blankets for the three beds and got three that were only a little thicker than the sheets. The beds were springy and squeaky, like diving boards. Weed wackers started outside the window by 8am. The toilet ran nonstop unless we lifted the cover and pushed the flapper down after every flush. One person we traveled with had a room where the A/C didn’t work, though ours did. The hotel greeted us with a strong musty smell. The lobby looked like it might be under construction, though I couldn’t tell if it really was or was just slapped together. We chose it based on other reviews and the location we needed, but weren’t impressed. We had the family suite for three nights.

The indoor jacuzzi was hot and felt great, and both it and the heated pool were very clean. It rained most of our visit, so we couldn’t use the outdoor pool, but we were glad there was an indoor one. We also used the gym, which was small but had really nice ellipticals and treadmills. The room was large, and they let us check in early. The only downside was the poor WiFi. I have AT&T and even had trouble getting good cell coverage. The hotel served a nice breakfast, with hot water and coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. The front desk staff were helpful and courteous. It’s a great location, close to groceries, a movie theater, restaurants, and even a laundry. Ask for a room toward the back to avoid freeway noise. Totally awesome!

The smell in the room was awful as soon as we opened the door. It was so strong we propped the door open and left for a while to air it out, but that didn’t help. We went to the indoor pool, which was surrounded by tile, and my son slipped and fell about six times before I’d had enough. We ended up spending the night at a friend’s place and came back only to check out. We’d booked a room for New Year’s so my boys could swim, thinking it would be fun. I don’t recommend this place, and there’s no playground.

After a long Christmas holiday, I really needed a peaceful, comfortable room, and that’s exactly what I got. Jacqueline offered me a choice between upstairs and downstairs, then picked the quietest room when I left it up to her. She was a wonderful hostess last night and this morning. Thanks to La Quinta for having staff like her, and to Jacqueline for such great service. My family will be back again and again.

My husband had worked 15 hours and was worn out when his DoorDash order was left at the wrong hotel, La Quinta kingwood. He wasn't staying there, but drove over because that’s where the driver had dropped the food. Sanchex was so kind and understanding, and went straight up to the second floor to get it for him. He really went out of his way. Thank you, Sanchex!
