Palace Inn Blue US 59 & Gessner

The rooms are very clean, and checking in is easy. Free juice and snacks are a nice touch, but the place has gotten so expensive, with prices often changing and usually going up. The office staff have also become ruder over time. Save yourself the headache.

Really clean rooms, and the beds are firm. The staff were cool, and they had grape juice for breakfast too.

I stayed here in Apr 2024 and waited until Apr 2025 to write this, because I’m a procrastinator. The experience left a good enough impression that they earned a positive review. I was a little wary of this kind of hotel, but nearby hotels had lower ratings, so I chose this one based on the Google reviews. It was very clean, and the front desk staff were generous. There was a good selection of snacks, though breakfast wasn’t available. I’d worried about parking, but the good lighting at night put those fears to rest. The location right by the highway was convenient, and the traffic noise wasn’t an issue for sleeping, or something I really noticed. We’d come from a concert and were going to Costco the next day. It was a great stay, and we’d come back and recommend it.

We woke up the next morning to no water, which made for a bad experience after a long drive. We wanted a warm shower and couldn’t even brush our teeth or use the toilet. I called the front desk and was told, “oh well.” I’d been told checkout was at 11:30am, but they called me at 11:00am to check real quick. With no water, we had to get on the road without showering or brushing our teeth.
