For the price, the suites are functional, and it was a clean, quiet place. Staff generally leave you alone unless you need something. Breakfast ran from 6 to 9 am and was standard hotel food. The vents smelled bad when we used the heat, and only one of the two TVs in the room had good picture quality. Some people's cars were broken into in the parking lot, thankfully not mine. One housekeeper was rude when we asked for the bathroom to be cleaned after we arrived.

The layout was really nice, and both the housekeepers and front desk staff were pleasant. The manager was another story: extremely unprofessional and unable to resolve conflict. If employees give customers wrong information, she'll tell the customer they're wrong. Depending on who you speak to, they quote one price and charge something completely different. The hotel is very disorganized and has no problem making unauthorized charges. The bed was comfortable, but the headboard was greasy. Walls are thin, and the internet kept disconnecting. Towels and sheets were stained, and there's basically no maintenance. The fitness center equipment only partly worked, if it worked at all. The laundry room was dirty, and the washing machine didn't clean clothes well. The tub and sink were clogged, and only one remote worked. I stayed six days, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The desk clerk was nice, which is why I'm not rating the hotel lower. My wife and I stayed because we had a long flight the next day. At first glance, the room looked good, but a closer look showed several odd, unacceptable problems. There were stains on the walls, and pubic hair in the toilet. It was obvious the bathroom hadn't been taken care of: the shower curtain smelled sour, and there were bugs in there. I also found blueberries on the carpet the next morning after sitting on the couch and crushing one under my foot. There were at least five others, so I figured the room hadn't been vacuumed. One couch cushion had its zipper off track, with the pillow sticking out. Housekeeping could have dealt with all of that. If you decide to stay here, bring cleaning supplies and a vacuum in case your room is as neglected as ours.

My stay turned out well, and the staff were sweet, helpful, and kept apologizing. The room was clean and spacious. A few things surprised me: there was no coffee maker in the room, just one in the lobby, and only a tiny trash can, so you have to make more trips to empty it. Both TV remotes were fussy. I had to point them in a certain direction to get the TVs on, and some channels had no reception. There wasn't a guide, so I spent a while flipping through channels. Also, keep your phone away from the room key, since mine got deactivated three times and had to be fixed. There was an issue when I arrived. I'd booked through a third party while evacuated from Lake Charles, and this was the cheapest I could afford for four days. The reservation didn't show in the hotel's system. I'd driven all day, was exhausted and hungry, and wanted a shower, but had to book another room that night. I was really upset, but fortunately a woman from the booking company found the reservation and fixed it. I got my money back for that night. I couldn't blame the staff, only the situation.

We missed our international flight after waiting more than an hour for a taxi the front desk had called. We’d given the staff plenty of time, then kept asking where it was, but they weren’t helpful. The website advertised an airport shuttle, yet after we checked in we were told there wasn’t one, with no explanation or other options offered. 2/10. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.
