Regency Inn and Suites

I can’t figure out how this place has a 4.1 rating. It was the filthiest, most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. The floor was covered in caked-on hair and grime, and the many holes in the walls were so dirty they felt sticky. The microwave looked like someone had splashed a pint of blood inside; the fridge was just as bad, with what looked like mold too. Paying $75 for this is absurd. You’d be better off sleeping outside.

The good parts were Netflix and an A. C. that worked well enough. The location was good, but the rooms and service were poor. I needed somewhere quiet to work on my PhD homework, so I booked a Priceline Express deal. My first room was filthy, had holes all over the walls, and was missing furniture. I gave the owner a chance to fix it and moved rooms, but the second one was still poor quality, with fewer wall holes, no bedside lamps, and dried paint in the ice bucket. The blanket was thin as a tablecloth, not at all like home. The listing made it sound like there was a breakfast bar, but it was just muffins and coffee. I spent $100, though this felt like a $50, two-star place. The owner cuts corners and doesn’t seem to have good business sense. I won’t be back.

My first stay here had no problems, but this time, on 12/9/22, was a different story. Room 115 was dirty and the linens hadn’t been changed, so they moved me to room 223, which wasn’t any better. I’ll finish this stay, but I won’t use this hotel again or recommend it to friends or family. The check-in system didn’t feel welcoming, either. With such strict rules, you’d think the rooms would be better, but they aren’t.

There’s a Walmart, a plasma donation center, and plenty of places to eat nearby, from fast food to sushi. The property is small enough to keep an eye on, and the shopping center location is great. My room was big, looked really clean, and smelled fresh as soon as I walked in. The clerk let me check in early and told me about the early check-in fee before charging me, which I appreciated.
