The management are great people. This is one of the best motels I've stayed at.

I really like the pillows, and the beds are very comfortable. Rooms have big TVs, they're clean and comfortable, and everything works. The location of this Palace Inn is convenient, right off the freeway, with plenty of parking and room to maneuver. If you get a room toward the front of the property on the back side, there's a small lot almost just for those rooms. There are grassy spots to walk Fido too. The one issue is the shower drain. This is the second time I've had a room here where the water drained poorly and a little stayed in the tub.

The staff can be hard to keep happy. If you stay more than one day and eat breakfast, they make sure your room is paid and your ID is on file. My girlfriend at the time didn't have ID, so we had to leave. Management is also a pain about laundry and having a guest. I'd gladly pay five dollars less for a room at a place down the road that's just as nice.

The room was clean, but there were pee stains on the mattress and no do not disturb signs. There wasn't an ironing board, and the room had no coffee maker. The lobby only had decaf, and at checkout there was no coffee at all. Staff knocked to tell us it was checkout time, which I've never had a hotel do. Housekeeping woke us several times on both mornings even after we said no thank you. We also got a wake-up call at 7 a.m. We arrived at 4 a.m. after our friends booked the room for us. The card was on file, but their computer wasn't working, so check-in took forever. Communication was difficult too, with staff mumbling and pointing at the computer. I'm glad our friends got us the room. If the staff had been better and there were a coffee pot and iron in the room, I'd have rated it a B-.
