Southmore Boulevard Motel

The lady was nice, and the parking lot was well lit. It's affordable and clean, whether you need a shower or an emergency place to stay. They provide hygiene products in the room.

The property felt unsafe, with crack activity around the grounds, and there were serious cleanliness problems, including rats, roaches, and bedbugs. Staff also treated African-American guests with clear discrimination, making the stay even more uncomfortable and unacceptable. I asked several times for clean towels and bed sheets and was denied. They said laundry was only done at certain times and wouldn't help, even though the motel was nearly empty.

I stayed one night on Sunday, February the first, and found the place strange. I had a lot of belongings on my chair because I'd left another motel that wasn't good. The first place had no heat on Friday night, January 30, and I left another motel because of homelessness on January 30. I used an electric chair. The floor was very lopsided, and I got bites that were probably from bed bugs. I took pictures and planned to get verification at my doctor's appointment on Monday. They gave me one big towel and two face cloths. I took a picture of the bathroom, which had a beautiful new towel, but the refrigerator had no racks, there was no smoke detector, the microwave was dirty, and the refrigerator had lots of rust where the microwave sits. When I called to dispute the $70, they kept hanging up on me and wouldn't give me a name. I was speaking to a guy who had checked me in. It was awfully hard. There was only one vehicle in the parking lot the whole time I was there, a motorcycle, and one other vehicle. The lot was very small, which I thought was odd.
